Clarity is unlike any other watermark detection fluid. Most commercial watermark fluids are toxic, flammable, or contain hazardous materials that are only marginally safer than the traditional solvents (such as lighter fluid and benzene) they replaced.

Clarity was developed under the guidance and with the cooperation of the American Philatelic Society (APS). Clarity is non-flammable, non-toxic, and is completely safe for the environment.
