Imagine receiving this simple postcard! Your son, or husband, or brother has reached the European Battlefield safely. It has been said that the chances of survival were better once they reached the Eurpopean battleifeld, than their chances of getting there at all.
So this simple card was really good news.
It is interesting to note that this cover is from a Corporal in the American Expeditionary Forces, passed by the military censor in Washington D.C. in route to Ontario, Canada. A Canadian serving in the American Army?
